Because You Don’t Have Pockets When You Are Naked

2 09 2010

There are so many things I hope to teach my children.  First and foremost I want them to love themselves.  I want them to also love reading and animals and nature and people they have never met.  I want them to enjoy the satisfaction of working hard and to understand how to be a generous and loving friend.

So, what lessons have we worked on today?  “There is no point in picking up the change until you put clothes on because you don’t have pockets when you are naked”.  And, “Mommy is not the kind of woman who wears high-heel shoes with shorts, especially when she is just going to McDonald’s to get a Diet Coke”.
